Yo! My name is Noah
Hey everyone, I'm Noah, the developer of Retrospect.
← yep that's me at a Renaissance Fest in 2025 holding a bird lol.
I started Retrospect last year because I wanted a place to write about games, preserve them, and celebrate what we all love about gaming.
It all started in 2025 when I came across my old GBA stash I had when I was a kid.
I had just gotten an Analogue Pocket at the time, and so I was like hey why not try these out? They all worked and still had my saves from when I was a kid, even my Pokémon Sapphire! It was just kind of surreal that those games were still there, and functional - that I had a real piece of my childhood I could interact with again. These games that I played so much were still there.
I have been gaming my whole life, but when that happened I kind of fell back in love with it all again. Realizing that so many games of the past are amazing - that some random game I don't know means the world to someone else.
I had all of these memories associated with these games all rush back, and I just had to get them down - that's how the journaling aspect of Retrospect came around.
Anyways, Retrospect exists out of the love of gaming, so I hope you find something cool, and perhaps a home for your gaming journey.
Cheers,
Noah
